Will GPS become another trend of High-end Camera?

In the beginning of 2013, the camera manufactures have released many new cameras. What makes us interested is Nikon P520 and AW110s camera carries GPS.

What’s GPS camera? When shooting pictures, GPS camera can record the location information of the current photo such as latitude, longitude and altitude, which greatly enhances the information of the digital photos. When enjoying the photos, we can know when this photo is taken and what place is in the photo. With the built-in GPS, geotagging our photos has never been easier. However, GPS camera does not own the turn-by-turn navigation function like the GPS we use in our car. It just can locate the place where you shoot this photo, so that we can add the location information in the photo.

Will Smartphones make us numb?

When you get on the subway, will you take out your smartphone to check Facebook and emails chronically? It’s said that smartphones will numb our senses. No matter whether you believe it or not, it’s true to some extent.

Nowadays many smartphones like iPhone, Android phone and Samsung Galaxy is here and there, and it’s reported that obsessively checking the phone makes our brain disorder.

Cary L. Cooper, Distinguished Professor of Organizational Psychology and Health at Lancaster University, warned users to limit their phone time as it can “numb the senses”. He said that staring at screens constantly takes us away from people and gives us a passive outlet where we don’t have to interact with the world or face our problems.

Sony reveals the PlayStation 4

Game zealots must be very excited when hearing that Sony will release the PlayStation 4. On February 20, Sony revealed its long-awaited successor to the PlayStation 3 at an event in New York as it tries to vault back to the top of the video game hardware business. Since the release of PlayStation 3 in 2006, it takes seven years for Sony to release new console.

It’s said that PlayStation 4 has a souped-up eight-core processor to juggle more complex tasks simultaneously and the performance of GPU is also greatly enhanced. The most notable feature on display is a new DualShock 4 controller designed in tandem with a stereo camera, similar to Microsoft’s Kinect. PlayStation 4 is said to own a motion sensor, a touchpad on the front, and a light bar to easily identify players.
